Made for the bush.

Bushveld is an independent browser game created for Lizrom.

Wildlife

Textured animal models and skeletal animation adapted from Wildfire Games / 0 A.D., under Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 3.0. The eight adapted animal GLBs and their embedded art retain that license.

Adaptations include smoother geometry, skin-weight interpolation, UV repairs, animation retargeting, scale and orientation changes, and GLB conversion. Buffalo adapts a bull; leopard adapts a lioness; bush pig adapts a boar. Horns, rosettes and articulated primates were developed for Bushveld.

Vervet monkeys and chacma baboons use original skinned anatomy, detailed faces, articulated hands and feet, groomed fur, planted-foot walking and staged falls. Their original fur texture was generated with OpenAI image generation. These are game models, not scans. Primate sources and texture prompt.

The lion has additional anatomical detail, rounded ears, whiskers and a layered, skinned mane. Its higher-resolution texture was adapted from the original atlas with OpenAI image generation. The updated model and texture retain CC BY-SA 3.0. Lion sources and texture prompt.

Equipment and sound

Long-gun base meshes from 3dassets.dev (CC0): Wood Stock Rifle, Semi-Auto Shotgun and Suppressed Bolt Sniper. Adapted materials, optics, sights, hands and action effects; original Glock-style pistol and kettie models.

Firearm recordings from The Free Firearm Sound Library, by Ben Jaszczak, Brian Nelson, Kevin Heras and Matthew Nanney (CC0). Edited, layered and compressed for the browser. The 9mm and suppressed rifle sounds are adapted recordings of similar firearms, not exact-model recordings.

Original safari-inspired score, ambience and mechanical sound design.

Hands

Anatomical hand meshes from Immersive Web / WebXR Input Profiles, under the MIT license (copyright 2019 Amazon). Adapted with smoother geometry, articulated finger chains, weapon-specific poses, skin shading, nails, sleeves and trigger motion. Asset sources.

World and technology

Ground textures and Kiara 1 Dawn panorama from Poly Haven (CC0). Three.js r170 (MIT). Barlow Condensed and DM Sans fonts.

Artistic game representations. No assets from commercial hunting games were copied. Full technical credits.
